I've always wondered how hard it would be for an average person to make a bow. I mean, our savage ancestors managed to do it, it can't be that hard. Seems like a useful skill to pick up.

Also, the Mongol bow is quite a well developed piece of technology, especially given its deceptively simple appearance

An arrow maker is called a "fletcher". Is there a similarly specific word for someone who makes bows?
