Ha! What fun, and how refreshing to see something so utterly lo-fi!

That's trippy as hell.

Nice! It takes a good artist to do something rough and simple like that and still have it work.

Somewhat in the same vein but without the handmade feel is the video for Sign by Nobukazu Takemura.

If God was a disembodied head that rose every morning and shot everything out of the sky with laser beams, I'd be one regular churchgoing motherfucker.

It turns out that portions of the soundtrack are a sped up version of metafilter run through a text to speech engine.

That was awesome, strange, funny. Loved the stick figure/lo-fi aspect combined with complex ideas.

Who the hell is this Christy person? Christy studied film and animation at the Rhode Island School of Design. His student film ?Space War? has been featured in numerous festivals and screenings around the world and also on MTV's short-lived "Cartoon Sushi". It has won several awards including "Best Student Film" from both MTV Animation and the Nashville Independent Film Festival (both in 1997). Christy then made "Barfight" with Stephen Warbrick, which was rejected from every festival it was ever entered in. Christy is currently developing a show for Cartoon Network's "Adult Swim" called "Superjail" and plays guitar in the rock 'n' roll band "Cheeseburger".

Thanks, EMRJKC94 I thought the style of animation looked familiar, especially the wolfmen things.

I knew it, I knew that robots in love would fly around on a unicorn with wings. I fucking knew it. I tried telling you, but none of you fuckers would listen.

Well, now you can see for yourselves.

It's stuff like this that makes me gnash my teeth when people say "you have too much free time".

Why does that phrase get used for something like this, which brings happiness/inspiration/head scratching to so many people's lives, but not when someone says "I just watched the two hour season premiere of American Idol"?

Excellent. Bridging the gap between generations, this little cartoon made my son look up to say, "I like the music."

I especially enjoyed the squiggly lobsters under the sea rock that became flying lobster men once King Neptune put on his worried face and uncovered them.
