Wow, thanks for exposing me to a new medium. I really like "Incubus" posted by nola at 8:37 AM on August 18, 2007
Excellent clips, carsonb, great effects. Glad I saw the second one in the morning and not before bed time! Thanks. posted by madamjujujive at 8:38 AM on August 18, 2007
I usually can't watch more than 30 seconds of a music video, but "OK" was OK! posted by brain_drain at 8:47 AM on August 18, 2007
the second one was pretty brilliant. posted by empath at 8:55 AM on August 18, 2007
Technically interesting but the content is hackneyed, a man overpowers a woman. Hardly "genius". I find the theme offensive but obviously it's endlessly fascinating to some. posted by chance at 9:52 AM on August 18, 2007

The creepiest part for me—the part that made me think twice about posting it—was the end. posted by carsonb at 9:57 AM on August 18, 2007
Faboo. I remember seeing that Franz Ferdinand video a while back with the pseudo-cutouts and thinking it was sort of clever thing, but these are much closer to the heart of what was so appealing. The Shitdisco bit is super goddam clever—jealous-I-didn't-think-of-that clever, really—but the Incubus work is just plain genuine craft. posted by cortex at 10:04 AM on August 18, 2007
That, and Shitdisco is a great name. posted by YoBananaBoy at 10:27 AM on August 18, 2007
I second cortex. Damn, I wish I could have thought of that. The song itself wasn't that good IMO, but the video makes it bearable.
Can't say I like the name Shitdisco but it definitely sticks with you......or on you. *ewwww*

The "genius" is in the "technique", not the "subject matter". The ending did make it creepy and not "hackneyed". posted by strontiumdog at 10:49 AM on August 18, 2007
