They left out the part where everyone starts posting funny cat pictures.

I enjoyed that. Though I think they've barely scratched the surface. This could be an entire, new genre of comedy.

Where's the part where the mean admins take away their IMG tags?

I really can't think of anything to say that wasn't already said in the video.

I feel your pain YoBananaBoy, all I wanted to say was 'first', but of course porn in the woods is a complete fucking tool and couldn't let anyone have fun he didn't understand. Nice tits.

Man, it's frustrating when someone does a pretty good job one something like this, when they could have nailed it. It's slick, it hits a lot of the right notes, but it's not quite right.

Yeah, cortex. It's missing a shock image, for one. Maybe a little fanboism and a touch of administrative power abuse. Other than that I thought it was pretty spot on.

So, logically, enterprising Mefites should one-up them, right?
Right?

As much as I wanted to hate this as another internal Vimeo thing, it was awesome and had a lot of great insider jokes.

Isn't this the greatest?
(Unfortunately, this is just how my last post to the blue unfolded, well perhaps not that badly, but that is how it felt.)

Thank you for the use of the "explodingcaptchagirl" tag, because I want to see what other posts will use it in the future - it was the one part of the video where I was wondering what it was they were attempting to portray or satirize...

cortex is right...
It's pretty good for something produced by 'amateurs'. I'm sure that it's better than most people [i.e. people with no equipment, actors, or a budget] could pull off because it's shot, lit, and mic'ed pretty well. The writing is a little obvious...
Is it wrong that I found it a little annoying? When internet cliches bleed over into real life conversations, it is invariably painful.

Not to mention the internet disappears up its own asshole, cos you see we're in a thread on the internet commenting about a satire of a thread on the internet not actually on the internet that is commenting on the nature of a thread on the internet by appropriating the culture and semiotics of a thread on the internet and thereby prompting a real thread on the internet about a satire of a thread on the internet...

Most of this was just "pretty good" in the frustrating way that cortex describes, but I got a kick out of the two free iPod nano reference. That ad has always baffled me. What's a person supposed to do with two iPod nanos? "Here's one to use, and one to give to your friends/sell on eBay/have as backup in case the first one fails"?
