This is amazing, I love to knit so I understand how much work goes into the most simple hat. How nice it is to see kinky yarn. Thanks posted by Viomeda at 11:06 AM on August 20, 2007 [1 favorite]
Looks like maybe the site is a bit overloaded? Next time use a coral cache of the site. Just put .nyud.net:8090 to the end of any domain, and it will load a locally cached version rather than throwing a load on the server. posted by Deathalicious at 6:31 PM on August 20, 2007
I hate to say this, because I am always happy to see lots of crafty content here, but: double. posted by GrammarMoses at 6:49 AM on August 21, 2007
Wow, not only is this doubled post still open, it's received virtually no comments either way. I guess crocheting just isn't as hip now as it was in 2006.
Seriously. Maybe it was just me, but it seemed like knitting and crocheting exploded as a fad from mid-2005 through part of 2006, then it disappeared or something. Is that a fair assessment? posted by Deathalicious at 4:48 PM on August 21, 2007
All of the people I know who were knitting and crocheting in 2005 and 2006 are knitting and crocheting still.
I think it's mostly the media that's over it, rather than the participants, who are forming some pretty vibrant communities. posted by dersins at 4:41 PM on August 23, 2007
