Best? Hip-Hop?

My brain exploded.

I disagree. Needs more hip, less hop.

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Good stuff! The transitions and wipes are about as obnoxious as the few other video blogs I've watched for more than a minute or two, but the content is pretty good. Not to mention that Dipset Anthem shows that he's not only versed in current hip hop culture, but in silly cat references. Will watch again.

I didn't think Chocolate Rain could be any more annoying, but here we are...

As someone not particularly interested in hip-hop, I nonetheless find that guy very entertaining.

I was really unsurprised to find "best hip hop blog" and see a Jay Smooth site. His first blog, hiphopmusic.com was basically the best hip hop site online IMHO. So, this figures. I also know him from back in my blogging days and he is an awesome guy.

Good link, thanks for posting this. He has a perfect voice for rap, I would like to hear more of his original pieces.

I promise not to watch hip-hop anymore. Satisfied?

Oh, boo_radley's right, the cat rules.

Man oh man. Are you guys white or what?
I'm guessing that a few here actually got a hot-flash of guilty pleasure the last time they were rickrolled.

Jay is really great. Really, really great work. He's a great radio host as well. Much respect to Jay Smooth.

Hahahaha, I'm terrified and resentful of everything about black people too.

Jay Smooth is a good egg. I've been listening to him for a long time now.

This is a freakin awesome site.

This guy is really articulate and smart. I don't really listen to much hip hop, or I suppose I should say I don't feel like I know much about "true" hip hop. My tastes only extend as far as guys like Jurassic 5 and Blackalicious, or Del the Funky Homosapien. But damn, those video blogs were well spoken and entertaining.

Bookmarked. Thanks a ton.

Also, I have to say these knee-jerk reactions to good hip hop as being oxymoronic or nonexistent is just plain ole ignorance with a dash of racism.

Okay, last comment: I had not yet watched the Dipset Anthem. Oh my god.

LOLcat references, ask a ninja, Ze Frank (!!!), Dead Prez nods....

this guy just won me over.

I was ignoring that idiocy, but thank you for addressing it and being right, lazaruslong.

HuronBob: oxymoron

Don't worry, I just heard from a very reliable source that hip-hop is dead. Move along and don't worry your pretty little head.

/me goes to watch the second video blog
