It's also known that many Hindus are named after the gods. Here's a list of Krishna's 108 names. My name, Mukund, is derived from Mukunda. Where I'm from, we call this Gokulashtami. So happy Gokulashtami!

All the beings are bonded due to lack of knowledge but they get free and achieve liberation once they realize that the world is nothing but illusion. All the souls taking birth on the Earth must surrender to Lord, be free form attachments to living and non living objects. One should not be conditioned by body or the worldly things around.

If the world is nothing but illusion, therefore all the worldy thing are illusions as well. So the voices of those who preach Krisna are illusory, therefore we will never know if Kirshna has said anything, because we can't but perceive illusions, being ourselfs illusions. Therefore, why follow Krisna, if all he says is that we aren't but illusions after all ? Could it be that Krishna is an illusion ? Why attach to an illusion ? Bye, overlord !

Sanskrit funny: I was at a resort that featured a guest cabin named "shanti" ("peace" in sanskrit). The cabin was pretty shoddily built, and it occured to me that the name of the cabin could also be "shanty".

Jai Sri Krishna Ji! Where I'm from, we call this Gokulashtami. Those ice-cream companies really should keep their grubby corporate hands off sponsoring religious festivals like this.
