Tomorrow is Patriot Day. From context, I guess a patriot is someone who talks a lot about 9/11, but continues to exploit works on that day.

The idea that 1776 has an active, impassioned fan base above the age of 13 is completely bewildering.

But it does have such a fan base. Me.

The idea that anyone age 13 or younger would sit still for all that unfunny reading or recognize those names is completely bewildering.

It's also Constitution Day this month (September 17), so the post is quite apropos (I doubt that there are many 1787-related youtube videos).

Is this something I would have to have a Constitution to understand?

No, just a Declaration of Independence.

MY MOST FAVORITEST MUSICAL. I love this so much.

The Brokeback and Rocky Horror ones were fantastic. The original movie, not so much (but I love it anyway).

Oh.

And needs more Hasselhoff.

I don't know the movie at all - but the artificially created tension in the Brokeback mash between Jefferson, and Adams? works. I love the scenes where Jefferson emphasises his height. Though the editting isn't quite as good as in the Rocky mash, which is simply inspired.

Brokeback and Rocky are stellar -- this is going to bring a whole new dimension of profound enjoyment to my already-festive annual July 4 viewing of 1776.

i think a fall out boy warning should be required like nsfw is. something along the lines of ZOMGFOB! i use headphones on my computer and my ear hurts from ripping out the ear bud. but i'll take physical pain over that band any day.

I'm part of the fan base too. I listen to the Broadway cast recording several times a year, and have enjoyed it since I was a little kid. Thanks LarryC.
