As a kid, I had a secret, guilty hatred of the hideous sock monkeys some of my relatives saw fit to bestow on my household. I would have liked these so much more. posted by Western Infidels at 10:39 AM on September 18, 2007
Western Infidels: Agreed! I liked sock monkeys but never had one, and still would have liked these more.
I LOVE the giant microbes. I believe I still have the plague.
I wish Accoutrements had stuck with their Parasite Pals....you can sometimes find the stationary, but it's hard to find the dolls themselves. posted by batmonkey at 10:44 AM on September 18, 2007

I found these a while ago & just recently bought one... I love him & will have to get him a friend soon. She does amazing stuff. posted by Laura in Canada at 12:20 PM on September 18, 2007
Weird seeing this here since I grew up with Jenny Strunge in Baltimore and I believe she is still dating a friend of mine from back in the day. Really nice girl...buy some stuff, people! posted by dhammond at 12:56 PM on September 18, 2007
The ugly/kawaii trend somehow strikes me as very Japanese. Is there a word for it (it Japanese or any other language)?

that would be bloody, bot boodly. posted by Laura in Canada at 2:05 PM on September 18, 2007
