When I worked in the shadier end of search marketing (I know, I know, I got better!), we would frequently create pages with "unique brands" and messages aimed at those with credit problems. The applications all went to the same, fairly well-known provider, who would get in touch with them with one of their standard loans, but with a higher interest rate, longer payment periods, etc. We didn't get to work with a 16-time world champion, though. Woooo!

A friend of mine sat near Ric Flair at a basketball game once and watched him half-heartedly "Woooo!" for about 57 people. By the end it was more like "wuh."

I've mentioned this before, I believe: I grew up in Charlotte, where Flair got his start. He lived in the same neighborhood as a buddy of mine, and we'd see him out in the yard every now and then. But, then again, I carpooled with the Super Destroyer's daughter, and was in 5th grade with Black Jack Mulligan's son, and Baron Von Raschke would come to our Junior High band concerts to see his daughter perform, so seeing Ric mowing the lawn wasn't a huge deal.

The irony being Flair's lending his name to this company 'cause he's pretty broke More truth than poetry that. I hear Flair is up to his neck in debt to the IRS and most recent ex-wife.
