Watford's Mark Vidler, better known as Go Home Productions, has been taking other people's tracks and making new and alternately-great-and-disturbing tracks with them for the last five years or so. Within the community of people who make and follow this style of music, he's a giant. Now, however, Vidler's apparently done with the mashup scene for the time being and moving on to other things. As a parting gift, he's making every single mix he's ever released, and a couple of dozen more besides, available in a veritable avalanche of .rar archives.

What's the total opposite of a . ? This is a bit of a . moment for me. Seems to have a "last days of disco" air about it. GHP DJing at bAsTaRd provided some of my greatest nights out ever, and the mashup scene has been one of the only music scenes I felt truly engaged with, since I was a teenager anyway. He will be much missed, though these downloads will assuage the grief.

Ditto on the *wow*, I have a dozen or so GHP tracks on my MP3 player and my work computer.... people actually stop when they pass my cube and go all "WTF is that?" and I pass on links to random mashup sites. djeo, awesome and many thanks... boo_radley, your torrent works, but was slow :). I downloaded from djeo and I'm seeding as much as possible. to anybody else... I'm a BT user, but don't know crap about creating files and trackers and such. But I have djeo's mirror and if somebody creates a torrent, I'll seed on a .EDU bitchin' fast connection as long as possible.
