Well, different things take different amounts of skill. Playing the guitar well might be impressive, but are we supposed to be impressed when people can ride a bike without falling over? Afu, I've been to approximately 1000 bars in China and never seen anyone do this shit. Liar's dice is super common, yeah, but I've never seen anything approaching this from anyone at a bar. Do you do all your drinking at one of the new Macau casinos?

Well, I've never seen anyone do it as good as the videos posted here, but I've seen a few guys that could do a consistent stack of 4. The only one that really impressed me was the clip where the guy takes eight dice of two different colours, and shakes them into two single-coloured columns. Most of the other stuff -- meh. But I might think it's meh because I'm intrigued by the idea of dice control as a means of getting an edge against the house in craps. There's a growing literature on this stuff sometimes called precision shooting, power craps, dice setting, etc. The guys who do this have to throw the dice the length of the table, and then make them bounce off the backboard before landing where they put them. Is it possible? I don't know. There are people making a decent living from selling lessons in the technique. And respected gambling authors who swear that people are cleaning up with it. And others -- like the Casino bosses, who believe they're deluding themselves, and current Casino conditions make controlled throws impossible. But if it is possible, I'm guessing that it's one of those things like dealing from the middle of the deck, that takes a lifetime to master.

He originally did planet scapes but has now branched off to fairies and people. Fascinating stuff, I often miss buses just by watching him. Haven't seen him in a while though..
