I love the idea, but it looks like it's a bunch of grim, humorless whiners. I know that my favorite $thing sucks, but does it really need to be codified? This looks less like an Encyclopedia of Stupid and more like an open-source Something Awful.

this is pretty funny. if you'd like to see some solid gold in there, look up the entries for "sometime before 1975," "1984" and "the future." I'm particularly fond of those moments when entries cross amusingly. for instance, the bill gates entry says "VERY IMPORTANT NOTE. Use a saw to cut off the head of bill gates." and the word saw is a link to the entry for saw. at the bottom of the saw entry is the very same VERY IMPORTANT NOTE from the bill gates entry.

I knew an Apple long before Paltrow's baby; a woman from Thailand who had come to the US to go to school and decided to adopt a nickname that English speakers would be able to pronounce since they kept mangling her real name. She chose Apple. I thought it was a very good name. So that's three of us.

Oh, god, that place. You know, when I first went there they didn't have an "Encyclopedia of stupid is stupid" article, so I sat down and spent a couple hours whipping one up for them. Uploaded images and everything. What did I get for it? They deleted the article and banned me. I didn't even have the foresight to save a copy of the finished article, so it was lost forever. So I shook the dust from my sandals and vowed to leave them to their elitist ways.
