What is a website containing a rediculous amount of Jeopardy! information?

The J! Archive is an impressive collection of answers and questions from Jeopardy! It includes not only every answer (of those revealed on the show), but also the correct and incorrect questions supplied by the contestants, how much was wagered on each Daily Double and Final Jeopardy, and the contestant's scores after Single and Double Jeopardy.

Thousands of games over the past 24 seasons are archived. Also, a helpful glossary. Here's Ken Jennings last game. Also, a wagering calculator. Oh, you roll over the clue's dollar value (or the Final Jeopardy category name) to reveal the question.

Excellent find! Lots of time to be wasted very soon. It includes not only every answer... But, let's be fair. The site collects all questions and answers from the Trebeck era only. Nothing from the Fleming era.

I remember these two answers. I emailed the Moonpools and Caterpillar's guitarist about them and he said that one of them worked for the Clue Crew, or whatever it's called, at the time. Neat.

This database is incomplete. I appeared on Jeopardy! on airdate October 9, 1992 Neither I nor that episode are listed in the database of programs.

You call that complete? Please. Nowhere on the site does it list Trebeck's shirt/ tie color for each episode. Completely useless, I say. Though I do now know that FDR's in 1982 was the last stamp to show a cigarette. So I got that going for me.

A private pilot friend once swore to me he knew a waggish couple of fellow pilots who flew a very odd route every month (for an Arkansas chicken "king", as it happens ) which enabled them to catch Jeopardy in a bar in one time zone - then shoot over to a TV bar in another when the same Jeopardy came on and amaze fellow bar flies by giving all the correct answers - laying on a fake 'aw shucks' know-it-all double act. They gained nothing, of course, except an awesome reputation in some dusty one-dog town as the cleverest guys on earth - and the most modest, too - since they always told the locals they were too shy to go on TV. If anyone can shoot down any obvious impossibility in this useless but - to me - charming story - I'll stop repeating it.

What other websites do I visit almost every day that you people don't know about? I'm with you, Plutor. After almost two years of MeFi membership, and fairly soon after my user number became less than half of the most recent user number, this is the first time I've thought "wow, everyone loves this post, and I, lampoil, could have made it!" I didn't know I knew about websites that mefites didn't! Oh well. This is a great resource, especially for studying for the contestant test.

They actually name wagering and endgame strategies after people who have appeared on the show. THEY ACTUALLY NAME WAGERING AND ENDGAME STRATEGIES AFTER PEOPLE WHO HAVE APPEARED ON THE SHOW. Holy CRAP.

That is fantastic, yhbc. I remember getting to thinking about Jeopardy end-game wagering scenarios a while back when they had that three way tie; some puff piece had come out badly decontextualizing some academic's quote about probabilities to make it sound like this was a one-in-a-gazillion possibility, and silliness of that number aside I had meant to sit down and work out how the endgame could be partitioned based on player balances going in, betting behavior, and right/wrong answers. This'd be a great thing to tie into that. Hell, half the work is done.
