You know what happened with the last coupon post, right? posted by Item at 11:45 AM on October 5, 2007 [2 favorites]
I know, and I swear, I wanted to post this before I saw that, just because I thought it was cool. It's managed to save me a lot of digging, that's for sure. posted by ThePinkSuperhero at 11:47 AM on October 5, 2007 [1 favorite]

Admit it, Pinky: you knew we weren't mature enough to handle a coupon post so soo after the events of 10/01. NEVER FORGET! posted by Item at 12:34 PM on October 5, 2007 [1 favorite]
Just noticed yesterday that the Gap, Inc. stores asked Retailmenot not to post coupon codes from users, and the site complied. (Not sure how many other websites this applies to). Kind of a bummer, as you know there's always going to be at least a couple of codes that apply to almost any order from any of their websites. They're findable elsewhere, of course. Just an observation. posted by lampoil at 1:10 PM on October 5, 2007

TPS: this does look like a useful site, thank you for having the guts to post it despite your knowledge of the OJ comments that would follow (lol). I do believe that the coupon selection would be improved, however, by this. (sheet created by dmd, original by cortex).
Pfft, I'm too macho for this post- OooOOoo, buy three tubes of Mister Blister, get one free! posted by Alvy Ampersand at 1:23 PM on October 5, 2007
yhbc: Since you seem to have missed the goodness that was this, I will offer it up again.
Actually, his comment shows that he did not miss that post. posted by pardonyou? at 1:36 PM on October 5, 2007 [1 favorite]
koo-pon. Usually. Unless it's for beans, and then I overthink it to kyu-pon. posted by rtha at 1:38 PM on October 5, 2007
Weird, I was about to post this two days ago when I got 20% off on a AE panties order, but I decided it was too doubly. posted by Ambrosia Voyeur at 1:47 PM on October 5, 2007

"Kyoo-pon"? Like "key-ew-pon"? Odd.
More like q-pon, which is how I say it. And I just realized that looks like some horrifying q-tip tampon monster. posted by katillathehun at 2:33 PM on October 5, 2007 [1 favorite]
Q-Pons. Now that’s a market waiting to be broken into. posted by tepidmonkey at 2:36 PM on October 5, 2007
Would it be inappropriate for me to mention the url of the competitor to RTMN that I work for? posted by sequential at 3:06 PM on October 5, 2007 [1 favorite]
sequential, in the comment thread, it should be fair game. However, I am known known for having made some legen-waitforit-dary errors in protocol so YMMV... Anyway, I am interested in your coupon codes and would like to subscribe to your RSS feed... posted by wendell at 4:39 PM on October 5, 2007 [1 favorite]
Koo-pin, if Ron White's to be believed. posted by Pope Guilty at 7:51 PM on October 5, 2007
It's q-pons 'round these parts, too. Thanks for the link TPS, as I usually just google for "(insert online retailer here) discount coupons" before transactions. However, I would still like to see sequential's work url, if it gets posted. posted by thatothrgirl at 8:16 PM on October 5, 2007
Note to admins: please nuke both of these comments if they are, in fact, violations. posted by sequential at 9:11 PM on October 5, 2007
Stop cringing, sequential. It's always been perfectly fine to self-link in comments that are on-topic. posted by mediareport at 9:53 PM on October 5, 2007
Cringing, though, is a bannable offense.

Re pronunciation: s we get those little SuperCoups mailings here at my apartment, right? And one of my roommates says it "super kyoops."
That is clearly not what they intended.
