"Last night false charges were filed against me and I just got out of prison, upon which I discovered that I had been locked out of administrative sections of all the servers as well as being totally locked out of BME." (Google cache, copy available here) Shannon Larratt, founder of the Body Modification E-Zine has seemingly been the victim of a hostile takeover.

The original Modblog post was deleted, along with the following post full of supportive comments and a response from Larratt's estraged wife Rachel (comment #88, sorry, no non cache link). The most recent update to the site is a post apologizing for a recent outage, which happened the same time all of this went down. Larratt is currently carrying on his modblogging and interviews at a new site bodytwo.com

My guess is he means he just got out of jail, where he ostensibly was held overnight. Not to suggest that this person, who I do not know and never heard of before, has an overdeveloped sense of the dramatic, but jai is not prison and vice-versa. One does not get held in "prison" on false charges overnight. With large caveats for "enemy combatants" et al. who certainly may be held on "false charges" but in those cases, rarely for short periods of time.

Reading the BME stuff is kind of like reading about Britney and her child custody battles -- the drama is compelling, but it is really sad that these intensely private matters somehow end up being played out on the public stage. Sure, it might be the fault of the people involved, and sometimes they want the attention, but it is still sad when so much dirty linen is exposed.
