They actually are putting a really fucking awesome show these days. It's not a straight up DJ set like what four panels linked to... But I guess Kimmel asked them to appear and they needed a way to play just one song from their album and... This is a great way to do it.

Their actual live show is a bit like Daft Punk's recent touring, which is to say, it's a DJ set made up completely of their own material.

My favorite part of the video is actually Kimmel saying, half to himself, "This is gonna be weird..."

An interesting solution to the problem of 'performing' electronic music.

The MPC can go a long way towards solving that problem.

what part of Daft Punk didn't they copy

Justice's music is way more aggressive.

Also, there's definitely more glowing religious icongraphy and just-for-looks stacks of Marshall cabinets.

On preview: What billyfleetwood said.

Neat idea in how to present this kind of stuff to an American television audience.

I think they deserve their rising popularity as it's incredibly listenable and fun electro.

Also, another way to watch electronic music.

They had an orchestra come in and play high pitched hits live to tape? Damn, that is hard core.

Meh. I thought about qualifying to cover that meaning of the word "sample."

What I mean here is that the bass riff, the strings, the pianos, the vocals, etc. aren't cribbed from some other song unlike, say, Phantom, which uses the theme song from Tenebrae (as mentioned earlier). Or like any of the Daft Punk songs in this popular video.

meh.

if you like dancing until the wee hours, what they do is pretty interesting. I stopped watching the first one after I say the Rick James fondling the guitar NOT in a good way. But I watched the four panels link at least twice as long.

I saw Justice live at the LA Weekly Detour Festival a couple weeks ago, and there were hundreds of people jammed into a city block to hear them. I was at the front and the energy was pretty crazy; no one had any control of their own movement, you just went where the crowd pushed you. By the end of the set I was covered in sweat and a lot of it wasn't mine. I am always surprised at how exciting it is to see electronic music live, and while they didn't match up to Bloc Party who I saw immediately after, they were really great to see.

four panels that video rules. I'm so glad I know about this band now. Must acquire more tunes.

I'm actually not hearing significant Daft Punk influence. Certainly they draw from some common musical tradition but the textures and moods expressed are quite different.

ageispolis: Like the pseudo gay club disco comment and calling Justice a Daft Punk rip-off.
Okay, that wasn't bad, but what I really want to put forth is this: Is there any chance Michael Jackson, might in fact be a very sweet,AND VERY fucked up man who's intentions are entirely good and who needs that childhood energy that is the genius we all possessed as children at one point (and is still there if we try to find it! Yes...it's still there goddamnit!! and the world needs it so put it out hthere and fuck anyone who is going to an asshole about it. Right now we need all the imagination and thought we can bear....) and he can'r stop being obsessed with that energy and being obsessed with it.

I think we should all be obsessed with childhood. That tiime when intelligence is a natural expression and fear has not taken hold and subjectivity and imagination is something we have to live with an fal in loove with every day. Remember folks: If we can make out the curvature of lilight due to a planetary body effecting it, we can make out the human shape or at least EXISTENCE of the the soul by looking at the dreams and thoughts it gives us.

Imagination is a self protective mechanise of NESSESITY.; Not a a joke to be glossed over.

Alright, I asked that in all good faith, Don't go crazy and call me too many bad names. I mean, c'mon realy, as creepy as M.'s relationship is with children is that about him or the BS Jerry Springer society we live in where nothing is honest and pure and good, but is instead a mofo segment on a reality daytime tv show expoited for all that it's worth.

Best, and man I'm I wasted, But I'm such a repressed fucker I need this...

Thank you.
Say yes to life people..

I'm sure most of you have already
