Is it just not enough to play Pac-Man on the Atari, PC, OS X dashboard, web, and cellphone? Try Pac-Gentleman, the Pac-Man board game, or just get some costumes and do it yourself .

Still not enough? Master the game, watch the 1984 cartoon (sample episode, more on YouTube), eat the cereal, listen to the tribute album, watch a documentary about the players, or just wait for the inevitable Pac-Man Hollywood Movie. (Also: lots of awesome Pac-Mania previously on MeFi. I don't think I duplicated any previous links, apologies if I did.)

Wow. I spent a small fortune in the 80's on Pac-Man. That Chasing Ghosts movie looks like it might be good. I clicked on the player profiles and read about Todd Rogers who played Journey Escape for 85 hours and 46 minutes straight. When Dig Dug came out, there was a kid from my hometown that held the high score for a little while. He's working at the U.N. now as an interpreter.

In 1982, I though the "Garcia" in Buckner & Garcia was the same as the Jerry Garcia I sometimes heard about. I also thought for many years that the spiky haired Woody in the Rolling Stones was the same spiky haired Woody from the Bay City Rollers.

I bought that Pac-Man Fever LP and thought it was a pretty good jam - "Do the Donkey Kong" and the Journey-sounding "I'm the Defender" kicked all kinds of ass. I saw JerryBear listed in the Columbia House Record Club catalogs and thought there might be some more video game tunes, but never got around to ordering any.

a few years ago i dressed my BF up as pac-man for halloween. what did i wear? a ghost costume. inky, blinky, pinky, or clyde? none of the above. what? you know, like a ghost...woooo...white sheet and eyeholes. wooo! you are soo retarded. woooooo!
