I love Grizzly Bear, didn't know they even had videos... pretty cool!

Also, the youtube comments do not disappoint:

if it was disturbing then don't watch it

Thanks jayjay.

Whoa. Never heard this before, but both the original and the a capella versions of the song are lovely.

(Although it is a bit sad that no one's made a video set inside a Chuck E. Cheese.)

Gah, and you didn't like to the one of them singing it in the streets of Paris? :P

I should point out that my initial comment was a reaction to that video, not the song or post. The song is actually quite nice.

Really? Knife? That was probably my least favorite song on the album :( I guess I'm more of a Central and Remote kind of guy. Lovely a cappella versions, though.

Beach Boys reincarnated?

I'm with patr1ck. The utterly charming video of them doing the song while wandering down some Parisian street is a treat.

They were scheduled to play Conan O'Brien on the 6th, and now I don't know if they will 'cause of the WGA strike thing. Who knows.

(PS: Go see these guys live if you get the chance. It's good shit.)

(PPS: Yellow House is one of the best records put out in 2006. You should check out.)

(PPPS: They should finally be done touring Yellow House, and be off to work on a new album. Yay!)

(PPPPS: Dude. Check out Ed's dog listening to Arcade Fire.)

Also, Girl Talk's remix shouldn't be neglected.

The songs are well produced, but these guys have a real tough time coming up with a compelling melody. But maybe they aren't trying to.

If you like the original, you should watch the high(er) resolution version.

Nice. Loved the acappella versions. Reminded me a bit of The Shins — Pink Bullet and similar to The Besnard Lakes— For Agent 13 or Disaster.
Yeah, someone mention Beach Boys¿ indeed, with a twist.

Neat, although I think the second and third link are the same group. I enjoyed the odd video, and then the a capella soothed me so I can forget the odd video and be able to get to sleep without dreaming of rockmen.

Yep, both videos are the Carleton Singing Knights. One of seven a capella groups on campus (one group per 250 students!). They've been around since 1955. More info at campus organizations and Myspace.

I love the singing part that starts at about 1:25 in the original video which reminds me of the singing in prints - easy magic, another good tune worthy of some linkage.

neat song, but really. song inspired by doo wop done in doo wop style. not wicked exciting. Re-contextualizing music= +100 points. Restoring original context= +3 points?

now, tv on the radio's mr. grieves, THAT's some cool shit.

I saw them play Saturday night. Paul Simon (I'm told from show's organizer) was back stage. For the encore they played "Graceland" and a neat version of The Crystals "He Hit Me (And It Felt Like A Kiss)". There's a version of that cover at Daytrotter.

You know, I first heard of Grizzly Bear here, over at Metafilter Music. That's a cool song to check out.

Recently Grizzly Bear reworked an early song of theirs, Alligator, together with Beirut and Dirty Projectors. Left me speechless. (Listen to both at the 'gum.)

There is an electro remix of this song done by Cansei de ser Sexy too, but I couldn't find it:(

M-B's hi-def link is way better. Has a lovely 3D quality. I posted and ran last night or I would have emailed cortex to switch it with the youtube version. I really can't understand with all the billions of dollars that youtube makes why their video quality and sound sync issues can't be fixed.
