I can't believe this! they actually have the nerve to associate themselves with http://www.godhatesdfags.com.... The Human Beings ability for incessant bigotry and ignorance is astonishing! I know this was posted back a few years ago, but it just had to be shown again..... ugh.

It really is nauseating to realize that we are "related" (as human beings) to such ignorant, evil people; it's hard to believe that they are actually people, with families and friends (an assumption, I'll admit). The capacity for ignorance & fear to escalate into hatred, violence, and intolerance must be seen (via sites like this) to be believed. Scary.

Hmm.. strangely, this is the first time I saw the god hates fags page, sure I've seen other related sites, but this seems to have a catchy names.
Is it for real though? Most of Christians I know respond to all of it is that it's unnatural and god 'advises' against it, but he would not keep someone out of heaven because of it. Or atleast if you repent, in which case I guess, when you die, you have to say that you're wrong and? Isn't there also a thing about god not hating anyone?

Believe us, tiaka -- it's real. When Matthew Shepard, a young gay man, was brutally beaten, robbed, tied to a fence and left to die in below-freezing conditions, the Rev. Fred Phelps showed up at the funeral with his minions and they walked around carrying signs like "GOD WANTS ALL FAGS DEAD" and "FAG MATT BURN IN HELL". Mind you, this is the funeral with his family attending.

Christ Almighty, I wish it were a parody.

Does it count as a double post if the original was well over a year ago?

Regarding Matthew Sheppard, these assholes have a "memorial" to him. Warning: this is pretty friggin' horrible.

Yeah, quarsan, this demonstrates that these sites aren't just hateful, they're also misguided. Any person or company shoving homosexuality down your throat isn't asking you buy into some agenda or even to choke you. What they really want you to do is breathe with your nose.

And what's wrong with that?

Had a co-worker once, Chip. Chip thought that another co-worker, Jeff, discreetly displaying a pink triangle was "shoving his gay lifestyle in my face". By the way, Lori in the next cube down gushing about her engagement ring was "cool".

Chip said that he didn't want to be made to think about Jeff having gay sex with his boyfriend. I asked him if during his conversation with Lori about her engagement he had any thoughts of Lori having sex with her boyfriend, or if that only happened when he was thinking about gay co-workers like Jeff.

That shut him up.

For anyone who thinks that the site is a joke, I will reiterate Dhartung's claims. In fact, the "revered" Fred Phelps was in San Antonio recently to decry the "ungodly sin" that a police officer is about to commit by undergoing a sex-change operation. This Phelps guy is unbelievable. I'd wager some early-in-life homosexual experiences (voluntary or forced) did some serious damage to his psyche, and this is the only way his warped brain can cope - by lashing out with vitriol, disgust, and hatred.

...serious damage to his psyche...

It's a long read, but by the time you finish this, you'll see he has all the credibility of an alien abductee...

If this country is to ever change--become ideologically modern and join the rest of the populated, urban and developed world, we have quite the gauntlet to take on.

I apologize fellow Earthlings. . ."this country" happens to be the one I live in. America. Not all of us are from or would ever want to go there.

I'm getting worried. I did a Google search on shove homosexuality down the throats of and got 300 results.

there's clearly a lot of this going on. how can we help these victims? a self-help group? a survivors forum? a just-say-no campaign?
