Oh, wow. For the Landsat 7 pictures, each pixel represents a little over half the length of a tennis court. To cover Antarctica, more than 100 billion such pixels are required. Oh, wow ¹⁰⁰.

You have to look very, very closely. Then suffer a 1/1d4 Sanity Loss if you spot one. Actually, seeing a Shoggoth causes a loss of 1d6/1d20 SAN. sorry. anybody who finds cyclopean ruins better post them here. :)

The image download is very very slow. In fact, even if it's close to 100% I think I cannot continue. I am just going outside and may be some time.

Given the size of Antarctica, I'd always hoped that there was something (preferably without tentacles) hidden under the ice. Maybe a wealth of fossils along the lines of Antarctopelta and Cryolophosaurus, or some unique marsupials.

The Uncyclopedia's entry on Antarctica is filled with lots of little known facts, such as: "In 1914 [Shackleton] launched his definitive polar expedition to be killed as many times in the Antarctic as possible," and "the ancient, ice-locked cities of Antarctica contain Elder Things, Predators, Xenomorphs, Wookies, Shoggoths, Mole-men, Goa'uld, and Cylons: all waiting for you to get lost somewhere or investigate something you shouldn't."
