I hate to say this, but the sixth photo really looks like the cat is about to disembowel the mouse. Photo 7 is probably the mouse's grisly remains being smeared down the glass of the windowpane.

The mouse obviously has toxoplasmosis which makes them friendly to cats.

LOL. I'm reminded of my own felines, who are intrigued by prey hanging around outdoors (these are indoor cats), but pointedly failed to take any interest when mice moved in last winter. They weren't much help with the bat, either. (Er, not that cats normally are.)

That's a rat, not a mouse.
My cats are terrified of my rats -- the rats are amazingly nice to humans, but they bite cats on the nose.

btw, if your indoor cats don't kill the things that you want them to, kill one yourself and give it to them to play with. It flips the Killing Switch.
They've probably never had to work for food, so they are kind of stuck in permanent adolescence. Let them catch a whiff of a dead mouse, and they will metamorphose into unstoppable killing machines. I think there might have even been an AskMe about this once...

bhnyc is probably correct, as the smell of the cat should make the rat stressed and attempt to get away from it.
I had a cat that would regularly kill rats outside, but my pet rat could run around and the cat would ignore it. Because it knew that the rat was living inside, and being cared for by me, it tolerated it as part of the household. Perhaps this cat has been brought up around other animals since a kitten, and therefore thinks the rat is another 'house animal'. Or the rat is a pet. Which would be odd because it looks like a common brown rat, which are not usually kept as pets.

I really didn't need this tonight. I just came downstairs after seeing a mouse in my daughter's room. My cat was staring at it intently, but not making any aggressive moves to convince the mouse that our home was not his home. I have no idea where it's at now, but I'm freaked out that it's going to scurry into my little one's bed while she's sleeping. Shudder.

This can not wendell. Wendell is not a cat person. And I have never owned a dog who could fit in that window.
Side thought: stuck in a window with a mouse? Sounds like an extreme way to make your cat computer-friendly.

I have a large orange cat who I saw tussling with a small mouse, once. The mouse actually fought back, and the cat jumped up on the bed and hid behind me. The mouse got away. Cat 0, mouse 1.

Photoshopped. Absolutely. Look at the shot where the rat is nuzzling the cat's neck, particularly the look of the cat's fur where the rat's nose meets the cat's neck. That's bogus. Then look closely at the seams between cat and rat's bodies in some of the other shots. Very photoshopped.

I lived in an apartment in an older house once and within 2 weeks of moving in noticed all the signs of a mouse invasion. Happily, this coincided with my need for a pet and some friends gave me an older kitten they had.
This kitten was an indoor/outdoor kitten and, as they lived in the country, had proven herself a rising mouser. The first night I could hear the mice scampering around my apartment as soon as I turned off the lights. My new cat was sleeping, however, and seemed not at all interested. I was disappointed.
Then, the very next night I hear a big commotion in my kitchen (not at all unusual for a kitten owner) and I went in without my glasses on and saw my cat on the floor. I picked her up and started walking back to bed when...she dropped the mouse that was in her mouth.
The next few minutes were a comedy of mouse and kitten running around my body while I thrashed and danced about the kitchen.
Within a few weeks there wasn't a living mouse remaining in that old house and I never saw one again for as long as I lived there.
