Funny: I was so put off by that Nazi-referenced FPP that I didn't click on any of those links and it would have never crossed my mind that the post is about the dissolution of the Polish-German border, an issue of contention since Roman times.

I saw a video about this on the NYT yesterday. I never would have guessed what the previous FPP would have been about.

That little bit of commentary at the end was interesting. It was sort of the moral of the story: Look was happens when you act according to baseless bigotry ... you get passed by! Very interesting!

The argument was really more about Germany's relatively high unemployment rate, and economic concerns. But hey, whatever, tomato tomahto.

These new nine countries entering the EU is a fascinating topic. Too bad it already seemed to have gotten a crappy FPP - which i missed too...
