Part 3 of the David Blaine Street Magic parody has just been unleashed on the public by comedy troupe ThoseLil Rabbits. Parts 1 and 2 in case you missed them.

This post was deleted for the following reason: We've seen some of this previously, and you admit that you main link isn't up to snuff, and you're being super defensive in the thread? And you decided to go with "cunt" for a username? This may not be the best way to debut your new account. -- cortex

I wish the real David Blaine was like this.

Oh, wait...

Three comments and then a post about an unknown comedy troupe? Self-link, or maybe friend-link.
posted by poppo at 4:48 AM on December 29, 2007

I don't know if it's a self-link or whatever but it is fucking terrible.

Yeah, I considered "terrible comedy troupe", but it seemed mean, so I went with "unknown". In any case this doesn't get posted unless you know them, or are them.

These are absolutely terrible; unsurprisingly, they also have over 12 million views on YouTube and are now on the front page of Digg.

Hey cunt!

You like sex?

Terrible? It's terribly funny is what it is. You guys are so disenchanted. Heavy sigh.

Flagged because of your stupid handle.

You shrunk my MetaFilter. Bitch.

Oh I get it, they're gay so they're supposed to be annoying and over-the-top fruity. To show you how gay they are. Because gay people react like idiots to things that upset them.

Get it? They're gay.

Pinnacle of comedy, here.

Hasn't that sort-of become the gold-standard for determining the crap-tastic quality of a website or post?

Jesus, time for a multi-rebuttal.....

Eponysterical?

Can we all agree to end this meme today?

Three comments and then a post about an unknown comedy troupe? Self-link, or maybe friend-link.

Or maybe three comments necessary in order to make my first FPP and more links to disengage the "one-link youtube" nazis.

Yeah, I considered "terrible comedy troupe", but it seemed mean, so I went with "unknown". In any case this doesn't get posted unless you know them, or are them.

Super-sleuth strikes again. 12 million viewers makes them less popular than a hama7 link.

Hey cunt!

You like sex?

You like travel?

I'll give you props if you manage to get more favorited than the eponysterical guy.

Flagged because of your stupid handle.

Coming from a guy named survivorman? What next, is Ashlee Simpson gonna give me voice lessons?

So yeah, kids, let's stick to the FPP at hand. Please take further personal comments/insults/non-sequiturs to meta.

The one joke they've got here is pretty funny, until they do it over and over and over.

Okay, I did snort at CHEEZITS!

Whops, I said something sort of negative, hope the sock-puppet doesn't bite me.

Okay, cunt, so who's sockpuppet are you, then? I got a pool going.

No, I agree with you. 3rd installment isn't as good due to the repetition of gags, and I thought it'd be great for the next video if they actually have "Chris Angel come out and kick his ass." Imaginary magic fight between two of the biggest jerk-offs/publicity whores on TV.

Okay, cunt, so who's sockpuppet are you, then? I got a pool going.

MeTa, seriously.

Yeah, okay, this "kid" will refrain from all of the above and simply address the "FPP at hand":

Stinks.

Glad there's someone so experienced with MetaFilter posting to keep the community in line.

I don't understand the "self-link" folks here; these guys have been posted to the blue before (and probably twice). It's funny the first time you see it.

Take the self-referential debate to MetaTalk. The David Blaine videomakers are not unknown, and it's not terrible - the first one was (in my opinion) hilarious; this last video is technically very impressive, though arguably a lot less funny.

This didn't stick out to me, and I don't think it's the point of the parody which seems to be mocking David Blaine and showing normal people freaking out.

I thought these were pretty funny (saw #1 when it was on the blue before), but then I thing Blaine's a moron...
