Free Documentaries for Online Viewing
January 13, 2008 2:09 PM   RSS feed for this thread Subscribe

bodocus.com has online (at the time of writing) 659 full length documentaries, from Anthropology to Technology.

Sourced from all over the world (including a selection in foreign languages), these are professionally produced documentaries you may have missed before on your favourite TV channel.

Unfortunately, their java menu system makes it difficult to directly link to certain things, but an FPP filled with individual links to different places on the same site isn't cool anyhow - just take a look for yourself and see if there's something you could waste an hour or three watching...

Though, at second glance, I can't really seem to get any of them to play.

Popper's List is good for documentaries.

Some of the links don't work but some do. Nice find, thanks.

Luckily, if you click the "Google" button on the video and go to the associated Google Video page, you can download most of them, rather than having perfectly good documentaries confined to a Flash object on their site. Good work.

Great find. I didn't have any trouble playing the few that I glanced at, though the copyright status of some is a little questionable.

Also, True Films, a discerning list of documentaries by the ever-interesting Kevin Kelly.
