No problem for me. I ran it on a Windows machine that I use only for gaming. Machine: iMac 2.4GHz w/ 2GB RAM OS: Windows Vista via Boot Camp Game: Bioshock, which I just bought yesterday and haven't installed yet. Result: pass If this were a machine that I ever typed a credit card number into: no way in hell would I have done this.

Every single test I tried came up as "Unknown". Except the soundcard test, which complained that it couldn't determine the version number of the driver. OMG the PC of MYSTERY!

Cool idea, but I don't think it works. It wrongly told me I have two processors, but that's just hyperthreading, not two real procs. It said I could run Half Life 2; however, I have crappy onboard Intel graphics that slowed to a crawl during certain points in the demo.

also, http://www.readyforcrysis.com you gotta send yourself an email (the mailer appears to be pretty slow) to get into the site. it's a flash site that uses the applet to decide which video to show, depending on your hardware configuration. the applet/axtivex is harmless, but if you use IE, you'll have to use add/remove programs to get rid of it. (yes, i coded readyforcrysis.com, but i do not work for Nvidia or Crysis)

I'm puzzled, I've been playing with it and getting accurate results based on games I have and have tried, and the specs it's been giving me about my own computer are accurate. *shrug* Sorry, folks.

Don't be sorry Pope. I checked a few games out for this new laptop and it seemed like a useful site. Now if someone would just come up with a Java applet that would predict how your FPP would be received by Mefites.

This is an excellent idea. I can no longer keep track of the various video card requirements and I can't count high enough to keep track of how many demos run with lesser requirements than the actual games. Non console gaming is getting to be too much of a PITA.

I hate this site and this post because this stupid site refuses to upgrade my computer enough to run Bioshock. I mean, we can put a man on the moon, but I can't download a decent graphics card? WHAT. THE. FUCK. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS LAB.

Heh. I was actually a bit annoyed when my new computer, with pretty decent memory and processor and a decent graphics card (an 8600) still refused to run Bioshock at a decent framerate until I dropped the screen resolution to something like 768x480. It's still outrageously pretty, but really for full effect that game needs to be run on an absurdly powerful system.

Went back and tried using IE. It worked fine and it would seem that my computer would only need a modest video card upgrade to run World In Conflict.
