How many times has the art world fallen for hoaxes like this? This one is even worse than the paintings by chimps and elephants and three year olds that were foisted off as being by masters, and roundly praised.

Annoyingly the artists that invented such an obvious hoax will go on to live long lives. Where's my luger...

What I think makes this interesting are two things: that there were hoaxes within the hoax, and that there were real exhibits after Maver's "death."

Was nobody tipped off by the fact that the guy's artwork and writings look and read like the cover and liner notes for a shitty goregrind album?

What does it mean when I suspect this is yet another bogus art joke, before reading any of the attendant links?

Should probably note some of those links are not safe for work.

Not as many times as the mass media.....

Not as many times as the mass media.....

True. Joey Scaggs plays with them all the time, and they continually fall for it.

Nice presentation, klang. I like good pranks. Thanks!
