These hyper-flexible people occupy a very fine line between sexy and creepy. In fact I think they oscillate over it rapidly from moment to moment.

The stripper was, I'm pretty sure, from Essex - she was wearing knickers but nothing else - had "assisted" blonde hair, a sweet face, an oddly wholesome personality, and an incredible body. She performed every single manoeuvre the most filthy-minded here could imagine (yes, one could easily "slot in" an imaginary partner), she was an ex-gymnast who had decided to branch out more artistically after not making the national grade. The interviewer asked her after the performance about the sex question. She rolled her eyes a bit and said, yes, her boyfriend was at first very keen on trying all the most pretzel positions she was capable of. But that, honestly, she - and he - got far more physical pleasure from the traditional happy positions, thankyouverymuch. She seemed very plausible.

That rhythmic gymnast was absolutely amazing, though if I saw it in a video-game I would question the abilities of the designers to implement a realistic physics engine, and if I saw it in real life, I would doubt my sanity. People aren't supposed to bend like that. And doing it to music just makes the entire thing more surreal.

You phrase it as if the problems are a result of being flexible, or practicing that flexibility. But they're both two sides of the same coin and neither a cause nor an effect of each other, but both symptoms of the same genetic defect (which is maybe what you meant, but may not be clear to someone else reading that). I have some hyperflexibility from my mother, who has had a life of joint-related problems. I can't do any of the stuff from those links though, at least the links that I wasn't too scared to watch. But it does make it really easy to practice aikido!
