I'm Going To Disney World

Can't afford to get to Disney this year? Worry not: ride the rides on YouTube. There's The Haunted Mansion, The Pirates of the Caribbean, Splash Mountain, The Tower of Terror, Peter Pan and plenty more. The best, though, are the ride-throughs for rides that are no longer there: EPCOT's Horizons, World of Motion and original Imagination are ones I remember vividly from my childhood. Maybe you will too.

Expect a cease and desist any minute now. These experiences are copyright Walt Disney Corp.

So I shouldn't post the video I took earlier this month from the Test Drive ride at Epcot?

Or, if you crave power, you can simulate the rides and cackle as the tiny computer people queue in vain for miles for a ride you've halted for no apparent reason.

FOOLISH MORTALS! WHERE IS YOUR FASTPASS NOW?

I don't need a fucking Space Mountain Video.

I loved the old Horizons ride. Thanks to you and to MissLynster for the trip down this dorky child's memory lane.

Wow, I'd duct tape that camera to my hand. And not take it on Splash Mountain.

Thanks so much. That was fun!

Wow, I loved going on Horizons when I was a kid -- especially when you smelled the oranges and I thought you got to choose the type of ride you would take to get home?

I had a conference at Disney World awhile back and just rode the monorail around because I just wanted to see what that darn hotel the monorail looked like. And EPCOT seemed so much smaller...

Heh, this is funny... I was just watching the Half-Life 2 seemingly near-perfect recreation of the Tower of Terror.

Oh my goodness thank you for the Journey Into Imagination one. That was my very favorite ride once.

I tried some of the rides, and none of them began with a half-hour wait, so this can't possibly be real.

Yes, but does it have the Main Street Electrical Parade?

yes, yes, I know it's over at California Adventure now, but that's not the same!
