"February is more than a diminutive month of love... It is a month of hair." Your mission should you choose to accept it, is to grow your beard throughout February, then shave back to a glorious mustache for a gala beer party at the end of the month. The rules are very, very serious. Apparently the reverse goes for the ladies i.e. shave everything from eyebrows to hair.

I joined the club but I don't think I qualify as I already have a full beard and would rather not shave it just so I can grow it back just so I can shave it off again.

When I try to grow a beard, the homeless dudes start calling me "brother" and telling me where the soup kitchens and shelters are. Although this is pretty awesome, I think the sketchy hobo beard would go over badly at my job and, well, at life in general. So, no thank you.

I can't grow a moustache. I have an abraham lincoln style beard thing (not a chinstrap - it goes on m'face). So basically, why does this month have to discriminate against me.

Much as I love being more highly evolved than all you hirsute louts, sometimes I wish I could grow facial hair (as opposed to facial hairs, several scattered ones, just enough to need shaving) with anything less than hormone therapy.

Hang on, the frack is this "Mustache Month?" This is BEARDUARY, son! bearduary link Tho I'm sort of screwed, I had my lumberjack/I ain't shavin phase early this year... about 3 weeks early.. not sure I can survive another 4 on scraggle jack vision..

I've been growing my deer hunting beard since October do I have to have on the 30th and start over just for February? no, I don't hunt but given that this is Pennsyvania, people often assume that I do since I always grow a winter beard

Apparently the reverse goes for the ladies i.e. shave everything from eyebrows to hair. Sounds like a hell of a lot more work for the ladies than for the gents. Also, March is the month when most cancer head-shaves happen - what am I supposed to do in March if my hair is gone in February?

I'm not shaving. It took me two weeks to grow this beard. Well, two weeks until it looked like I grew it on purpose, anyway. It's lived on my face since 1998 and it isn't going anywhere. I sometimes contemplate growing it out - usually, I trim it to about 1/4 inch or so to keep it from getting unruly - but then I chicken out. Plus my wife would hate it.

i've had my beard for 12 years straight. early january, i was doing routine maintenance and accidentally shaved off half my moustache (the guard slipped), so then i shaved the other half. tried to live with the "amish beard" thing but it looked horrible on me. so then i had to shave the whole thing off. for the first time in 12 years. ugh. it was traumatizing. people didn't know me.

The guys at work did this a few years back to raise money for charity. They were going to do it annually, but it only happened the one year (though this year, a couple of them did "Novembeard" for fun).
