Why are they wearing hard hats? Even thinking about meat-related disasters that would necessitate a hard hat scares me.

Wow, I did pretty well, actually. I'm on my way to a fine career in meat inspection!

She lays among the flowers
and spreads among the sheets.
She counts the clouds for hours
and turns them into...meat?

Yes. They should be wearing hats of meat

As a Longhorn, "AggieMeat" to me means that which sends the sheep running.

Hey, any school that has a course entitled "Meats" can't be all bad.
posted by monju_bosatsu at 6:14 PM on February 4, 2008

Just the fact that the concept of web-based meat-recognition-practice eluded me entirely until this moment makes this, for me, not a stunt post (MeTa thread reference excluded). And I love the "MeatFilter" title.

Now, I'm off to cram up on my Bone Roast.

That sounds about right.

I took my schools class on this briefly. I had to drop it because I kept falling asleep and getting behind on the lame assignments. It did make me eat less meat though, since many of the samples we looked at had been left out too long. Sadly, because I dropped it, I could no longer join the Intercollegiate Meats Judging Team.

Ag school also has a soil judging class that has a cult following.

Now, I'm off to cram up on my Bone Roast.

Not "Bone Roast," but "7 Bone Roast". So-called not because it has seven bones in it, but because it contains a bone shaped like the numeral 7. Also, a slight misnomer, because it's much better braised ("pot roasted") than roasted.

Whoa. There's a science called Meat Science. Now I'm going to say, "This isn't Rocket Science, it's Meat Science."

Perhaps there's an intermediate science that examines cooking meat with rockets.
