Ah, Stan Freburg. Is there anything he can't do?

The Big Bad Wolf he learned the rule
You gotta get hot
To play real cool.

And go through Hell to get there.
Fun post. Thanks, Daddy-O.

Man, I remember when they were Green Jellö, before the sellout...

I still have this song on my iPod tho.

No need to owe me a Coke, pupdog. Our real enemy is the pompous Bill Cosby and his Jellö people. As if the anyone was going to think the good people at Jello were behind Green Jellö's antics...

I think it was more likely the common "Green Jellö Sucks!" on homemade fan posters and such, and the "Green Jellö SUXX" EP that the label put out that raised General Foods ire - this was the Early 90's, when 'sucks' was still more shameful.

The Looney Tunes one still makes me want to dance. I look like the wolf when I do it, but who cares?

The Christopher Walken one is hilarious.

“Arrivederci, porko numero duo.”

Stan Freberg's son did these famous commercials.

Also, that Looney Tunes toon was worth the price of admission.

Shorty Rogers is pretty damn great (he's the one who did the music in the Looney Tunes link).

Oh man, I can't believe I had completely forgotten about Green Jellö! Thank you so much!

Whoa, I had Cereal Killer on VHS, and I never noticed the first little piggy drove past a movie marquee that says "Her Thing Had Teeth"!

Also, I forgot how avant garde the architecture of the pig mansion was.

My god, I hated Green Jellö. Yet another example of clueless major labels blundering around in the early 90s alternata-surge and buying up shitty acts that should have remained local oddities forevermore. I bet the A&R rep thought he had a GWAR that could sell at Wal-Mart. Instead he got the musical equivalent of a whoopee cushion and a man dressed as a six-foot corn-studded turd.

On second thought, rock on, Green Jellö.

Looney Tunes without Mel Blanc? I didn't know they did that.

Green Jellö sucks!

God, I still remember the words to "House Me Teenage Rave." -shame-
