This FPP smells like comedy but I don't have time to do the research. YANK.

Dog stories in the news and from what looks to be a website talking about strange things dogs have eaten. And two animated shorts involving dogs.

Yes, there's poop, yes there are dating videos... no there's no methamphetamines.

I'm disappointed that I took time out of my day off to actually click those links.

Is it even possible to put such high frequencies out on CD, and play them through your stereo? I'd think the theoretical highest frequency a CD can contain is 22kHz, and this would be a sawtooth wave, with little ability to create anything resembling a song. Then you've got the frequency response of the speakers to think about. I mean, all this equipment is specifically designed to handle the human frequency range. Doesn't make much sense to me that it would work for special ultrasonic dog music.

knave- a 22kHz signal would just be one amplitude value, with the sign alternating from one sample to the next. The shape of the waveform produced by this would depend on the filters present in the CD player. Unless these filters had a rise time that differed appreciably from their fall time, the waveform would be closer to a square, sine, or triangle than a saw.

I did post a description, but it was in a frequency that only dogs can hear.

The last two links are the gold here (both NSFW). Also, they led me to this.

Agree with Prospero... the last two are the good stuff (same site, BTW). This week's take on kid's shows is great--I want to watch more of the Stoic Squirrel.
