From the wiki on Nautilus: Nautiluses are predators and feed mainly on shrimp, small fish and crustaceans, which are captured by the tentacles. Yeah, you guys go and poke around the front of that giant shell. I'm staying back here in the car.

I don't see any expansion joints in the concrete. Maybe they just keep it at a constant temperature, with backup generators for the heating.

That's the house I always wanted to build. There was one organically shaped somewhere on the French Riviera coast, that I remember from some magazine from way back. Also, greenery inside is cool. I could roll in it all morning.

An architectural version of lava lamp globules with interior decorating by a Dr. Seuss character. The corpse in the library's fear of being glorped in the shower has me in stitches. When I purchased a sliced in half nautilus shell years ago, the shop owner told me that I could remember the name of the valve that connects each of the chambers inside the shell by combining Simon and Garfunkel. It's called the siphuncle.

How fabulously '70s would it be to live in quarters designed by Roger Dean? I would love to stay for a few days in the Nautilus House, but I wouldn't want to live in a place you couldn't put your stamp on. What if, in five years, you wanted to move in some furniture of the square persuasion? What if you couldn't stop thinking about Oriental rugs?
