Meanwhile over 6 million perfectly healthy and socialized dogs and cats get euthanized in shelters each year due to overpopulation. Anyone buying a "designer" living creature should be charged an enormous surtax to subsidize all the animals already here who would make great pets but I guess just aren't cool enough to pass muster.

I've got one of those Asheras. He's a little smaller though. His name is Petey and we got him free at the animal shelter about 15 years ago.

Very pretty. But here's the thing; I have four cats, and each and every one of them is a master at leaping onto the bed and perfectly landing on my crotch. They heaviest of them weighs in at about 15lbs and it's expertly capable of incapacitating me.

At 30 pounds, I see this as $20,000 of pain with whiskers.

Besides, I still love the Russian fishing cat.

I have a designer cat for sale....I would take 1,000 for him....well actually he is my wife's cat. Well actually he is feral and adopted her about 10 years ago. So you all would have to come and get it...while my wife is away as she loves the cat...pay me the 1,000 and then you would have to catch the damn thing....but...it is a designer cat...one of a kind....oh...he's fixed as well but that is a whole different story and the main reason he doesn't like me!!!
