They don't make it very easy to work your way though the photos that have fallen off the front page due to age. They need to get some scroll forward/back buttons on the individual day pages; having to click the 'Back' button to get to the Archive page is obnoxious and poor design.

Whoever is doing this is woefully misinterpreting what a FAIL is in the dog universe. For instance, this picture, is clearly one of the biggest wins of that dog's day. And dog on a tower? That's like epic doggy success. And beating a dog a chess? That just seems unfair. I mean, everyone knows that dogs prefer checkers.

Let me add this in my defense: At least it wasn't a double. And I don't think it's been previously deleted. I set the bar pretty low, I suppose, but I see this more as a ground-floor thing. It's no Cats In Sinks but it could get better as time wears on.

I thought this was pretty funny, but I'm a total dog person. However, some of the pictures o f dogs trapped on towers or caught in trees were fairly distressing.

They've demonstrated that there aren't enough doggy-failure images for a whole website. Maybe 1/3 of these demonstrate FAIL. The rest are just kind of funny and/or sad.

There's some interesting questions lurking here, about the number of cats vs. dogs owned as pets, and about the propensity of cats vs. dogs to do things that lend themselves to photographic recontextualization, and also about the tendency of cat vs. dog owners to take endless fucking photographs of their goddam cats, like anyone cares, seriously. I guess I have some unexplored feelings re: specifically the cat side of this equation.
