From the "You learn something new everyday" file: apparently, if you're a vegan, you can't drink most red wines. Luckily for them, there's people selling vegan friendly wines. I've been a vegetarian for about 10 years now, and I was a vegan for a few months until I heard that you're not supposed to eat honey. That was a bit much for me, but like most things, there's always someone willing to take it even further.

i think it is one of the reason why there are not many vegans down here, in france , )
i know people who don't eat any meat (and who are seen as totally insane by most), but they do drink wine, eat sweets...

If you hit the "even further" link you will read that cars kill animals because of fossil fuels...etc etc...How can a true vegetarian DRIVE? Two words ROAD KILL. Of course there is the dodge factor (not the car company)...you could dodge the animal...swerve into another lane and cause a major accident.
