Credit Card Nation?

Credit Card Nation? And people who bought this book also purchased Fast Food Nation. Is the U.S., then, no longer Prozac Nation. Do we live in Hackneyed Nonfiction Title Nation? Or is it really a Credit Card Abusing, Fast-Food Eating Nation on Prozac?
Also discovered via Amazon
Database Nation, Corporation Nation, Ritalin Nation, Free-Agent Nation, and of course, Transgender Nation
We don't even get into Chili Nation, Suburban Nation, Self-Help Nation, Comic Book Nation, Gunfighting Nation, Hoops Nation, Voyeur Nation, Network Nation and Joystick Nation here, since, frankly, we're out of patience and time.

You mean it's not Woodstock Nation anymore?
Y'know, I have this strong sense that all these titles are vaguely allusive to some earlier Foo Nation, but I can't put my finger on it. Woodstock Nation is the earliest I can think of, but it seems like there must have been some earlier exemplar. What was it?

This syndicated article quotes someone claiming that this trend started with Prozac Nation (i.e. that's what everyone is copying). I don't know if that's correct.

One of my favorites, especially on a long drive. Almost seems to compress time.
