Rainwear in Films has a very narrow focus.

Narrower even than erotic falconry.

What's that law, where if you can imagine something, there's probably an internet site about it?
Erotic falconry? Check.
Rainwear in Films? You got it.

or is that law about pornography? In that case, just the first one.

This and the falcon post are awesome. Thanks.

This being the internet, someone out there is wearing rainwear, popping balloons, covering themselves and their Sunday best in chocolate cream pie goop while smoking and making flirty faces at a falcon while fantasizing about wrapping Roy Orbison in cling film.

Knowing these things are true, I'm not sure if I feel dirty, titillated or what. I think I'm just more confused.

rainwear interest

What a wonderfully coy way of expressing it.

What's that law

That'd be "rule 34". And, yes, it's about porn.

I had forgotten about Roy Orbison in Cling Film, and now I'm a little happy again.

And yet, the only piece of rainwear from a film that I'd be interested in is not present: The poncho from Unbreakable.

I keep hoping to stumble across something like one of these in a surplus store or something. No luck yet.

I'm just amazed that someone is taking a great deal of time out of his/her life to update and maintain this site.

Now, erotic falconry--well, that's perfectly understandable...

Don't be. Just consider how many niche blogs and sites exist out there that don't come with the added incentive of naughty orgasms for fellow travelers.

Yup, Rule 34.

Oh lame, it only indexes women. It should be called Women in Rainwear in Films.

I'm kinda disturbed in that I've seen most of those films. Without trying to, mind you.

"Has a scene where a "replicant" (human android or robot) is chased by Harrison Ford. As she runs she has on a clear plastic raincoat. The scene is short but exciting"

Ladies and gentleman of Metafilter, I give you a masterpiece of understatement.

The world is amazing. Enjoyed this site, seeing the care taken.

Living in India I really needed a raincoat for the monsoons there from June 15th to September 15th. 3 months that I would usually go around drenched, sopping wet. Living in an apple orchard meant an umbrella wasn't practical to navigate leaving my house and walking anywhere through the trees with their low hanging branches laden with apples. Or in Delhi, if I were driving around in an auto rickshaw the rain would come in the sides. I needed a Real Raincoat, a workhorse but dignified.

Indian umbrellas then were made of cotton that leaked if the rain were torrential, and it could be.

I used to dream about raincoats, all kinds of raincoats. Long ones, colorful ones, cloaks, transparent ones, with pockets, hoods. That site has a whole other part, about ordering custom raincoats. My monsoon fantasy raincoat.
