Warrior Writers express themselves using Combat Paper made from their old military uniforms. FAQ. Videos. An associated RI art show has its opening reception tonight. Sunday night there’s a program as well at The Beat Museum in San Francisco.

Hey, if Iraq Veterans Against the War is behind it, I'm behind it.

I was impressed with some of the things those young veterans said about this project, in the YouTube clip embedded here.

thanks lelilo. i might check out the beat museum event on sunday. that combat paper is really interesting, as a concept, as a process - i'd like to see the actual material.

Sale of art is not our goal. We are more concerned with the process of making it.

This is an awesome and very creative project - and sounds amazingly therapeutic and healing for many vets. What a great idea. I recently learned about the National Vietnam Veterans Art Museum, which has helped many vets with PTSD, and also aims to foster a greater understanding of the real impact of war.

Excellent post, lelilo - thank you!

Great post... it's always good to see projects that are helping vets deal with the aftermath of combat.
