So I'm really not trying to Troll. I swear I came about this, before realizing what I was looking at I though "this must be a mocku-joke"? Then I realized what it was. Anyway... My favorite here is Evolution's magic wand.

It's sad that they keep trotting out Professor Flew for this sort of thing. Article about his story previously posted to Metafilter (thanks, ShotgunBooty).

I like the Anti-Trinitarian proof texts refuted! page - which happens to be missing the refutations.

Nothing really to say other than it saddens me that 50%+ of this country are such outright idiots.

"A Gallup poll released Monday said that while the country is about evenly split over whether the theory of evolution is true, Republicans disbelieve it by more than 2-to-1.

Republicans saying they don't believe in evolution outnumbered those who do by 68 percent to 30 percent in the survey. Democrats believe in evolution by 57 percent to 40 percent, as do independents by a 61 percent to 37 percent margin.

The poll also said that those who go to church often are far likelier to reject evolution than those who do not. Republicans are likelier than Democrats or independents to attend church services, according to Frank Newport, editor in chief of the Gallup Poll." [1]

Thanks for the link. I don't believe in evolution, and I've forwarded this site to everyone in my address book.

Hmmm sounds suspiciously like something else I can recall.

so, a cheesy site created by an obviously IQ-deficient semi-moron, or perhaps a 12 year old, and this is what you use to puff yourselves up with? i am soooooo impressed. clearly atheists are humanitys only hope, towering bastions of reason, logic and prudence that they are.

This post does suck pretty bad, but only because of the fish/barrel paradigm. Also, I thought Q. hit the red button months ago?

The first thing I thought of when I saw the page was that the day he figured out how to map hyperlinks to coordinate points on a GIF must have been the greatest day of his life. "I'd like to see the Darwinists argue with a PICTURE THAT YOU CAN CLICK ON ohh ho ho..."

On this page they use the FreeBSD mascot. Technically, the daemon mascot is released under a "beerware license," which means they should have a copy of the license with the file, but BSD licensing is notoriously generous, and I don't think anyone's going to care that much. This isn't the first time this sort of thing has been misunderstood or coopted, as Evi Nemeth wrote:

"Many people equate the word "daemon" with the word "demon," implying some kind of Satanic connection between UNIX and the underworld. This is an egregious misunderstanding. "Daemon" is actually a much older form of "demon"; daemons have no particular bias towards good or evil, but rather serve to help define a person's character or personality. The ancient Greeks' concept of a "personal daemon" was similar to the modern concept of a "guardian angel" --- "eudaemonia" is the state of being helped or protected by a kindly spirit. As a rule, UNIX systems seem to be infested with both daemons and demons."

OK, that's your nerd history lesson for the day.
