Pathetic Geek Stories is back! After a hiatus of almost three years we can once again revel in new comic strips detailing people's most humiliating youthful (and inevitably cringe-worthy) moments.

But still...

Ooog these are painful. And for some reason remind me of the 70s. I don't know if it's the art or the memories of childhood.

This makes me so happy! I checked the site religiously every week for months, then finally forgot about it after it seemed no new stories were forthcoming. There may be some significance to getting this happy newd on Good Friday, but I'll be damned if I can figure out what it is.

Or news, even, for that matter.

These are both funny and painful at the same time. Awesome!

Joseph B., if you're out there, I want you to know that I think a Street Fighter watch is an excellent birthday present.

I think it's a fairly universal regret for men to realize years later that they had many more opportunities for some "action" than they knew of at the time. Glad to see the strip is back.

Hurray! I love this so much. She is truly the best terrible-hairstyle artist in all of comicsdom.

I submitted my own pathetic geek story three years ago right after PGS went on hiatus. Eventually I forgot about the strip and went on with my life.

One day I heard that Maria was doing comics again! I was so excited, I checked the website immediately for my story.

My comic wasn't there, and Maria's FAQ didn't know what I was talking about. I pouted away as the website looked at me funny.

Thanks to infinite w.!

I hate webcomic sites that don't have 'previous' and 'next' buttons.

My story exactly. I love this comic.

Wow... these are really funny, touching and cringe inducing simultaneously. Great stuff. Best of the web.

I love these. Love.

They make it easier to look back on cruelties great and petit and know that one is simply part of a giant chain of suck. This is oddly comforting.

Wow, these are quite embarrassing. Reminds me of a moment in middle school and thank god I wasn't on the receiving end of the humiliation. It was math class and the teacher wrote a problem up on the board and asked if anyone would like to come up in front of the class to solve it. The girl who sat next me, Alison, raised her hand and proceeded to stand up and walk to the front of the class. As she stood up, I noticed she had a huge red spot on the butt of her white jeans. She had started her period, which I later found out was her first. I tried to get her attention but she didn't hear me and she went to the front with her back towards the class while she wrote on the board. She was up there for a few minutes and everyone in the class was snickering and whispering back and forth. From the angle the teacher's desk was at, she couldn't see. When Alison came back to sit at her desk, I leaned over to tell her what happened. Her face went white and she ran out of the class crying. That scene is forever etched into my memory.

Now, when can we have other people's stories back? I used to desperately check both these sites for updates....
