Camcorder Simplicity

The New York Times ran a review about the Flip Camera in yesterdays issue. In the year since its invention, it has taken 13 percent of the camcorder market. I really don't intend this post as an ad. I see it as a best of the internet post. Here's why. We used this camera this quarter in a graduate course at the University of Washington. We were looking for an inexpensive camera that could be described as easily accessible to the masses. We thought we were going to be using one of the cell phone cameras. But the Flip is what we settled upon. Five separate teams were tasked with creating short (5 mnutes or less) clips for the Web. On the class Web site, you can see the end results and discussions of benefits and challenges that came from using this camera.

If you didn't intend it as an ad, you probably shouldn't have written it as one.

Afterwards, we all got together for a GiveWell charity dinner with tall, refreshing glasses of Pepsi Blue for everyone!

Impressive.

Isn't this kind of a self link?

Whatever....pull it if you want. I wasn't posting to advertise or self-promote. I was telling you about things I have encountered that I thought were interesting. What a bunch of jack-offs.

No problem, Crackerbelly. Feel free to come by and grossly violate community standards any time you feel like it.
