It's Rainin' McCain
damn. fifteen-thousand punchlines waiting to be made and I haven't counted the fatty-jokes. that video is the best attack ad a democrat could run. posted by krautland at 9:19 PM on March 21, 2008

When I was in grad school, a couple women in my program did "it's rainin' John Parman" I think that was the better version, as I still have it in my head, three years later. posted by parmanparman at 9:48 PM on March 21, 2008
Dhartung's ad clinches it. I am totally voting for Harrison Ford. posted by dirigibleman at 9:48 PM on March 21, 2008

Barack Obama with teeth made of dancing Bollywood girls is easily the most upsetting thing I've seen all day. posted by Hollow at 10:42 PM on March 21, 2008
OK seriously. What is the deal with the McCain "girls?" They're a mess. The most attractive one is being hidden in the back in a tragic repeat of the Wilson Phillips era. One of them keeps becoming partially invisible, as if she went back in time to 1955 and nearly broke up her parents at the Enchantment Under the Sea dance. Was the video direcvted by Jan Terri? posted by Ambrosia Voyeur at 10:46 PM on March 21, 2008 [3 favorites has favorites]
Those Rockabelles have compellingly original lyrics. (Unlike SOME candidates' supporters we could mention.)

Rainin' McCain isn't a golden shower thing is it?
Possibly brown showers, if the most recent of YouTube's commenters is to be believed:
"i would leave a cleveland steamer on tubbys face"
I have to say, its puerile and childish of me, I know, but I couldn't stop myself from laughing hysterically as I watched them performing their inane, Old Age Pensioner routine with this image fixed firmly in my mind. posted by PeterMcDermott at 2:01 AM on March 22, 2008
Also, in a complete change to established protocol, that Barack O'Bollywood shows the candidate with dancing girls in his mouth, as opposed to the other way around.

My favorite part of all of those videos was the split-second shot of the fancy decorated elephant in the Obama Bollywood video.

I like the floating McCain head, and when one woman washes her face with the raining McCains, although I'm not sure how refreshing that would be. Crushing tiny bodies of an aged political figure against my face doesn't sound all that appealing, but then I've never tried it. posted by krinklyfig at 10:41 AM on March 22, 2008 [1 favorite has favorites]
Jesus Christ, if we were really serious about capturing young peoples' interest we would change the nomination process to be more like "Deal or No Deal" where the suitcases would contain differing amounts of super delegates. posted by mazola at 11:46 AM on March 22, 2008
I really liked Barack OBollywood. Really. It's just more proof that I didn't need to do 'shrooms when I was in high school, because this sort of thing was waiting for me in the future. posted by maudlin at 11:47 AM on March 22, 2008 [1 favorite has favorites]
Hillary4U&Me and Hillary in The House...they have to be some sort of brilliant GOP sabotage, right? They're just so...square...
Typical white people. posted by rokusan at 2:24 PM on March 22, 2008
Does anyone else find it ironic that a song which is practically a gay anthem was picked by McCain supporters? Although, to be honest, I'm not sure if the McCain gals are serious, or if it is just a poorly executed spoof.
Bomawood was pretty cute, but Barack Obama-sistible...that's just scary. I'm on board with the "WTF White People?" folks on that one. Actually, the WTF WP? goes for the Hillary ones too. Seriously people, is it too much to ask for a little represent that doesn't make white folks look like complete and total dweebs? I mean, granted, you're trying to tart up Hillary, which doesn't give you that much to work with, but come on, that's just sad. posted by dejah420 at 5:27 PM on March 22, 2008 [2 favorites has favorites]
I'm pretty sure the Obama-sistible is a parody. In fact, I'm pretty sure I recognize the lead singer as a comedian elsewhere. posted by jmhodges at 5:48 PM on March 22, 2008

There's something about that bedroom-eyed flirt in the transparent teal pantsuit that just screams Sue Ann Nivens to me. Someone warn Cindy before this frilly bosomed spitfire "greenscreens" poor McCain's slacks! posted by maryh at 12:19 AM on March 24, 2008
Gosh. :-D Can't blame y'all for missing this, but the it's them words that seem to be the point in Obama's video. The lines go something along the lines of, We [I] will love the fair girl secretly. Secretively, we'll tell her my heart's desire. And so on so forth. Additionally, the song is actually not Bollywood propah; it's from the Hollywood comedy, The Guru.
While I think it's missing the lulz factor by a wide margin, just thought I'd point out that there seems to be some Hillary/race-based joke intended in there somewhere. Or may be whoever editted this thought it'd be easy to lip-sync "Aaja" ("come here") with Obama's footage. posted by the cydonian at 3:11 AM on March 24, 2008
