Awesome! I first discovered Tom Lehrer as a little kid going through my parent's old records. He twisted my sense of humor in the right directions very young. Thank you so much! This rocks!

Me too--as a little kid, I didn't understand most of what I thought was so funny (except poisoning pigeons in the park); I was rewarded even more amply when I listened to him again with the years behind me.

I've been a Lehrer fan for years, but have never actually seen video of him performing before. Now that I have, I think my suspicions are finally confirmed as to why the man is a "confirmed bachelor" at age 79...too bad he never officially came out. I have to wonder if this influenced his lamentable decision to stop performing and touring. (On a not unrelated note, the fun fact for today is that Lehrer went to summer camp with Stephen Sondheim.)
