The Invisible Life of Poet is a webcomic by Christopher Stetson Wilson that's been published weekly for three and a half years. It features the adventures of nerdy high school student Poet and his retinue (mostly his friend Ben). There are many ways to navigate the archive. For a quality skim, check out the author's favorites. Life of Poet is eminently quotable, such as the following from the second part of Screams of the Void: "Public education is not about self-expression! It's about standardized testing, bulimia and sorting out who's gay and who isn't."

This strip is indeed funnier if you've played Settlers of Catan; however, the last line is fantastic no matter who you are. Stupid and winning indeed. So far, anyway. In an inspired-by, but not actually related-to note, I wonder if you could build a game around the model of trying to succeed in some sort of bubble that's guaranteed to burst before the end of the game, but at some chaotic (not random, but hard to predict) point in time... Not necessarily an economic bubble, but something where the reward of being risky just barely balances out the sureness of playing it safe. Thanks for the link. Some good stuff here.

Upon receiving notice of the coming "economic stimulus" refund in the mail recently, I was immediately disgusted that this money is being given to me to spend on electronics and mortgages when it should be going to disabled veterans and their families. I started a Facebook group called Donate Your Economic Stimulus to Veterans and Their Families. Join the group to pledge to donate your ENTIRE refund to one of the veterans charities listed on the group page.
