The Sadder But Wiser Librarian

Is there any other way to Woo a Librarian? I mean, you don't want to cause Trouble, but it's tough to find that girl to be your Shipoopi, but when you meet her, it's like hearing bells.

Taking an interest in exercise is surely the way to woo a librarian. Master these moves and s/he'll be yours forever.

Nobody, and I mean nobody, takes a back seat to me when it comes to loving the Music Man. But four songs on YouTube does not a post make. Flagged as flim-flam, flagged as bullroar, flagged as shinola, flagged as the purest snake oil ever squeezed out of a copperhead.

I apologize for not including more links to all of the songs but I was trying to be funny and it seemed impossible to do, so I apologize for that. Music man was the third musical I ever saw.

Dude, all you have to do is buy me a beer. Wait, I'm not gay though, so.... 2 beers.

I love Shipoopi. Especially when sung by Peter Griffin.

This becomes even more mysterious when you listen to the music while looking at Del Far's user photo.

I made a very short librarian muxtape. I do not, however, love the Music Man.

Ideally, you should start by being a combination of Daniel Webster, Saint Pat, and Paul Bunyan, and it'd help if you could quote a little Balzac and Shakespeare.

(I've been pretty amazed, upon a recent re-watching, at how Shirley Jones took an essentially pretty thinly written character, and made Marian stand out in my memory as far more layered than most musical soprano leads.)

Loving "The Music Man" ain't always what it's supposed to be.

Well it seemed like a very huge librarian population on Meta-Filter, and at 11pm when I came across my dvd of the movie, I then wondered if anyone has posted that song on meta-filter, because I couldn't really think of many love songs to librarians, although Jessaym has now fixed that.

duh, I'm stupid, didn't realize you were referencing the music man until i finished that post

I love the music man and this post was a good reminder of why. Also:

Black Mask, Desk Set and Party Girl are all better librarian movies than The Music Man.

Another way to woo a librarian: know the verb form of 'cunnilingus.'
