One man was accused of having sex with her as a 17-year-old minor; he plead guilty to win release on time served: 50 days in jail. That conviction has now been vacated (and quickly, for once). This sounds like it would have been a good episode of Strangers with Candy. It's good to see the D.A.'s office do the right thing. Here in Virginia, they fight to suppress almost any evidence that can overturn a conviction, such as DNA evidence proving the innocence of a convicted "rapist". posted by gimli at 5:26 PM on April 17, 2001
