It probably says something about my cultural awareness that, despite being born in the 80s, I'm more familiar with the songs from the 60s and 70s than from this decade (although I also recognize most of the 90s ones). In fact, so far the most recent song I've recognized through random browsing of the lists is "Smooth", that Santana song with Rob Thomas that got played like 50 times a day by a given station back in '99.
