Yep, flyfishing for brownies beckons in my neck of the woods. I'm looking forward to tying on my first of the season and getting out on the lochs. You sponsored by Orvis then? =)

Here's a wee bit of fishing from Brad Pitt, a scene from the film version of Norman MacLean's wonderful book A River Runs Through It to help things along.

(If anyone can dig out the film's shadowcasting scenes I'd be grateful - the YT clip that professes to be it doesn't hold the ones I remember).

Something about Orvis?

Also, didn't Richard Brautigan write Trout Fishing in America? The plot thickens...

I keep trying to fly fish, but I can't get the wings to stay on.

I'd love to learn how to fly fish... but I'm too afraid of heights.
